An extra virgin olive oil that comes from the pressing of Abruzzo olives meticulously selected by our trusted farmers who, with so much passion and tradition, take care of and dedicate themselves to our olive groves on the gentle and magnificent hills of Abruzzo.

Our olive groves stand out because they boast a spectacular view of the Gran Sasso d'Italia, the Maiella and there is no shortage of a fascinating view of the clear blue Adriatic sea of ??the Abruzzo coast, a position that gives a unique flavor to our olives.

Our production areas with olive groves have all the ingredients to be able to give birth to a 100% Italian quality oil with Leccino and Gentile di Chieti olives, for a unique and superlative extra virgin olive oil.

At the origins of a good extra virgin olive oil there are two ingredients: the olive tree and the expert hand of those who know how to treat it. Oleum Comitis aims to enhance these elements, together with the importance of an extraordinary territory of origin, such as Abruzzo.

In mythology, the olive tree was always a symbol of strength, peace and vitality and charity. In Egypt, in the rites of the Greeks, the Etruscans and also in the old Roman Empire and also in the liturgies we always find the olive tree.

100% Italian extra virgin olive oil

Abruzzo and E.V.O Oil, a story that starts from afar!

In that middle ground which is Abruzzo, in the center of the magnificent Italian peninsula surrounded by the sea, there is a constant that has resisted over the centuries: extra virgin olive oil which, even today, gladdens and embellishes tables and dishes.

The love that the Abruzzo people have for extra virgin olive oil goes way back. Even in the fifth century BC. both Virgil and Ovid mention it in their writings. And there were numerous, during the Roman domination, the commercial exchanges in which the e.v.o. played a real protagonist role. As then happened in various other parts of the peninsula, once the Roman Empire fell, for the production of e.v.o. there was a kind of darkness. A time gap that lasted until the Middle Ages, when it was mainly the monks in their monasteries who restarted that production that would never stop until today, except to consider a period of low production around 1600 during the Spanish domination.

Today in Abruzzo olive growing can count on an area of about 45 thousand hectares, on over 500 mills and a production of 25 thousand tons of extra virgin olive oil, including our OLEUM COMITS, a true all-Italian excellence, where tradition, history, art , passion and innovation come together to create an all-Italian extra virgin olive oil of absolute quality. Our TREASURE, created with a lot of Abruzzo and Italian pride.
